ATNoG had a paper accepted at the 9th ISCC (IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications): "A Facebook Event Collector Framework for Profile Monitoring Purposes" which aims at exploiting Facebook's API for monitoring possible profile hijack.

ATNoG is collaborating with PT-In in the European project CoherentPaaS.CoherentPaaS provides a full ACID coherent environment integrating NoSQL, SQL and CEP data management technologies, while allowing application developers to program using a simple and powerful programming model and query language. PT-In is responsible for providing a use case based on its Altaia framework.

Sérgio Figueiredo, Seil Jeon and Rui L. Aguiar saw their abstract for poster "Empowering IP multicast for multimedia delivery over Heterogeneous Mobile Wireless Networks " accepted for the 2014 IEEE INFOCOM Students Poster Session.
The work focuses on the improvement of vertical handover performance achieved when employing an architecture tailored for mobile video support.

ATNOG, heavily represented by Sérgio Figueiredo, Seil Jeon, João Paulo Barraca, Rui Ferreira and Rui L. Aguiar, participated in the second edition of Vodafone's Technology Watch, an event promoting latest innovations from both research and commercial perspective.

This year's topic was "The Video Revolution"- a topic to which ATNOG has dedicated strong research effort in recent years. Such enabled the group to present its view on the key features towards an efficient architecture tailored for the support of distinct mobile video services, such as Personal Broadcasting or VoD, while assuring user's experience quality.

José Quevedo, Daniel Corujo and Rui L. Aguiar saw their paper on "Consumer Driven Information Freshness Approach for Content Centric Networking" accepted for the 2014 IEEE INFOCOM Workshop on Name-Oriented Mobility.
This paper is one of the first impact studies of Information Centric Networking mechanisms in the Internet of Things scenarios, focusing on in-network caching aspects, both from a consumer as well as producer point of view.
