Today, Helder Moitalta Capelo concluded his Master Thesis entitled "New Mobility Solutions in 3GPP Networks". This work focused on the integration of a 3GPP-based User Plane Congestion Mechanism (UPCON) on a Access Network Discovery and Selection Function (ANDSF) for optimized mobile traffic offloading to Wi-Fi networks, which was previously explored in a joint collaboration with Altice Labs under the project "IM3W - Integração e Mobilidade em Redes 3GPP-Wifi" (https://atnog.av.it.pt/content/im3w-integra-o-e-mobilidade-em-redes-3gpp...).
The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Rui L. Aguiar and co-supervised by Daniel Corujo. We had the distinct privilege of having Dr. Pedro Neves, a Senior Consultant from Altice Labs as member of the examiners committee, which was presided by Prof. Dr. José Alberto Gouveia Fonseca.
We wish the best for Helder's future endeavors and challenges to come!
